Today was a slow start. But we eventually managed to set of to do an ice fall that was about 45 minutes drive away to get to this icefall, when we were parked, we had to ski to the valley. We were expecting a nice slow ascent, however it proved other wise Because it was very steep for skiing and I didn’t have skins on. But it was ok in the end! We arived and had two packets of instant pasta in cheesey source and ate a whole baguette! From a small hut at the bottom of the valley, we flogged up to the base of the route. The ice was steep and I got tired imidiately and came down. Once everyone else had gone up we all skied back down, which was very fun!

Hasn’t been as much of a rest as he thought because they did cross country running up to Riber Castle and back – twice already! After all this training, he did quite well!
